Yilan is a London-based visual artist and art psychotherapist whose work explores the multifaceted nature of uncertainty. Informed by psychoanalytic theory and a deep engagement with personal and collective memories, her practice is shaped by years of experience supporting diverse client groups, including children, teenagers, and adults with complex mental health and special needs, across hospital, educational, and charity settings.

Drawing on her illustration background, Yilan constructs a unique visual language to translate complex thoughts, emotions, and lived experiences. Through mixed media such as drawing, tattooing, and ceramic, her art unfolds as compelling visual narratives. These stories explore the aftermath and lasting effects of uncertainty, whether it stems from mental health stress or the profound unknown that follows trauma and periods of societal disruption. Yilan's practice seeks to give tangible form to these often ineffable states, offering a visual dialogue for processing and reflecting upon the challenges of living with ambiguity.
